Pat aka the Boss, Big man (or Ugly only spoken between the guides when he can't hear them) is the founder of HOA loves kayaking steep creeks when not guiding. He's been running trips overseas as well for the last 10 years and has completed a few major first descentsin Myanmar, Thailand, India and Japan. People find him friendlier after a couple of beers!!

Nick Gutry

Nick is a veteran guide from NZ with over 18yrs. Good Kayaker loves the big water and spends winters running his own snowmobile business in Niseko.

Raju

Raju from Nepal has been working for HOA for 4yrs . Quietly spoken with a real sense of humur. He has been guiding for 10 yrs most of his work on the mighty Himalayan rivers.

Raj

Raj also from Nepal a client favorite with his quick wit and flashy smile loves nothing more than being on the river. Plays the flute likes to dance and generally have fun.

Prem

Prem a senior guide from Nepal and has been guiding big water in the himalayers for 10 years. Likes a drink and with his years of client skills knows how to handle any situation.

Shota

If he is not here at HOA look for him promoting the Shimukappu area in the michi-no-eki.

Bishnu

New on the team this year, Bish is from Nepal and is both a rafting guide and saftey kayaker.

Su-Young

From Korea, Su-Young is a new guide with HOA and has been having a great time training up on the big water on Saru and Mukawa.

Hikari

From Korea, speaks perfect Japanese !

Aki

From Wakayama pref. in the mainisland.
Aki is a new guide with HOA.

Tadashi

From Osaka, he is the life of the party and popular with kids and obachans alike.

Naomi

Naomi The brains behind HOA with out here work and dedication the whole show wouldn't be as good as it is. Wife of Pat and mother of Kay has hers hands full all the time!
